As VP of Compliance Strategy, Iain is responsible for guiding Hearsay’s 100+ global financial services customers, to address the complexities of an ever-evolving regulatory landscape and deliver a strategic advantage for their digital client experience initiatives. Prior to Hearsay, he was a Director with Accenture, where he partnered with clients on technology-related legal and regulatory issues, privacy, communication and trading surveillance, and books and records. Previously, Iain spent over a decade as a compliance officer and leader at global financial services firms including RBC Capital Markets, Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, and Goldman Sachs & Co. Iain holds a Masters of Law (LLM) from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Leeds.

Brady Brewer

Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Starbucks

Most recently, Brady served as chief operating officer for Starbucks Japan, one of Starbucks largest markets. In this Tokyo-based role, Brady led store operations for the more than 30,000 Starbucks partners who wear the green apron, as well as brand and marketing strategy, product innovation and digital experiences in one of the company’s most innovative and dynamic markets.

Prior roles included leadership as senior vice president, Marketing and Product for the company’s China and Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, Brady led brand, marketing, product and digital innovation for Starbucks in its fastest growing region. From Shanghai to Seoul, Mumbai to Melbourne, Tokyo to Thailand and everywhere in between, Brady has had the responsibility and thrill of introducing tens of millions of new customers to the extraordinary experience and values of Starbucks Coffee Company.

Guy Kawasaki

Chief Evangelist, Canva

Guy Kawasaki is an innovation keynote speaker, social media expert, and chief evangelist of Canva. His entertaining and informative talks use insights from his time in the tech industry to show audiences how to create innovative services and products using tactical and practical techniques. Formerly, he was an advisor to the Motorola business unit of Google and chief evangelist of Apple.

In addition to his work at Canva, Guy serves on the Board of the Wikimedia Foundation, is a brand ambassador for Mercedes Benz, and is an executive fellow at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He is also a best-selling author of 13 books, including The Art of the Start, The Art of Social Media, and Enchantment.

Leslie Leach

Vice President of Marketing, Hearsay Systems

Leslie Leach leads Hearsay’s marketing strategy and execution. She has more than two decades of experience in consumer and B2B marketing, starting her marketing career as a Brand Manager at The Clorox Company. More recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing for ZapLabs, the innovation lab for Realogy RLGY (NYSE) and Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Certent, a fintech SaaS company, where she grew the business from $11 million to $40 million in revenue over four years.

Leach holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she was named an Edward W. Carter Fellow. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on her two teenage boys, travelling, and the outdoors.

Susie Cranston

Executive Vice President
First Republic Investment Management

Susie Cranston is an Executive Vice President with First Republic Investment Management.

Ms. Cranston is responsible for the sales, client service, product management, strategic planning and administrative management of the First Republic Investment Management business. Prior to joining First Republic in 2013, Ms. Cranston spent 12 years at McKinsey & Company where she consulted on strategy, growth and transformational change for Financial Services companies.

Active in the San Francisco business community, Ms. Cranston is a board member of the Commonwealth Club and Lone Mountain Children’s Center. She has authored several published articles and a book on women and leadership, How Remarkable Women Lead.

Ms. Cranston holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science with a Distinction in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Nalika is a Partner / Principal that leads EY’s Wealth and Asset Management Consulting business in the US.

Over the last 20 years, Nalika has worked extensively with many of the top global Wealth and Asset Management firms, leading a broad array of programs ranging from strategy to execution focused on growth, efficiency and innovation. Nalika’s areas of expertise include client acquisition and retention, financial advisor growth and productivity and business model transformation.

Nalika is a frequent speaker on topics such as future of Wealth Management, strategic growth priorities and digital disruption. Prior to consulting, Nalika worked in M&A Advisory. Nalika has an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Prior to joining Facebook nine years ago, Brad held marketing leadership roles at Microsoft and CBS Corporation. Brad is a regular speaker at the Insurance Information Institute Joint Industry Forum, McKinsey Property & Casualty Leaders Forum, TransUnion’s Digital Disruption Summit and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Marketing Conference. Brad attended Indiana University and lives in Chicago with his wife Debra and their two children, Sloane and Owen.

Pradeep Ananth

Pradeep is responsible for leading Hearsay’s Professional Services, Training & Education and Technical Support organizations . He has over two decades of experience working with large, global enterprise clients helping design, deploy and maximize the value of their customer experience related investments through a variety of services.

Prior to Hearsay, Pradeep has worked at some of the world’s leading agencies and consultancies including Deloitte Consulting and Razorfish where he has built and managed practices around digital transformation and customer experience management for customers such as Wells Fargo, Ally Bank, Cigna Health, Salesforce, Intel etc. while partnering with leading platforms like Adobe, Salesforce and Amazon Web Services.

He holds a Masters in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon and a Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from PSG College of Technology, India. Pradeep lives in San Francisco with his wife and two kinder-age boys…Any spare time outside of heavy-duty parenting is usually consumed by books, movies, music that help make sense of the human condition.

Cully Eisenbeis

Senior Channel Management Specialist, Edward Jones

Cully Eisenbeis is the Senior Channel Management Specialist for social media at Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 financial services firm. Cully serves on the firm's Client Attraction team, a sleeve of Marketing, which is tasked with enabling and equipping our financial advisors with the tools, technology and resources needed to support the growth of their branch. In his role, Cully is responsible for managing and providing strategic direction for the firm's corporate and branch social media program. Cully's role focuses on defining the firms social media strategy, scaling the social media program to 19,000 advisors, ensuring that the firm is using best-in-class technology, developing ROI measurement models and ensuring continuous innovation of the program. Additionally, Cully focuses on developing partnerships amongst internal stakeholders and external technology partners.

Cully began his career in 2008 interning at a Karlsruhe, Germany based sports marketing research agency. In his capacity at this firm, Cully rose from intern to Director of Client Services specializing in the valuation and marketing of sponsorships within the motorsports, tennis, and golf verticals. Following this role Cully spent 5 years at FleishmanHillard, a St. Louis based global PR firm. As a Vice President on the Social and Innovation team, Cully was responsible for the development of the social media strategy, analytics, monitoring and insights team. At FH, Cully spearheaded the launch of the social media crisis group as part of the firm's global reputation management team.

Cully is a native of St. Louis, MO., where he lives with his wife, Katie and two children. He is an avid member of the St. Louis community serving, on the PR / Marketing board for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis and supporting the Central Institute for the Deaf. In his free time (when he has it) Cully is an avid golfer, NASCAR enthusiast, and music lover.

Gabrielle Levin

Director of Content Strategy, Hearsay Systems

Whether it’s a sunset selfie or an investment insight, content is the soul of social media. As Hearsay’s Director of Content Strategy, Gabrielle collaborates with customers to evolve their content strategy, align to business KPIs, and drive execution against measurable ROI.

With 12 years in film production and 13 years in digital and social media marketing at Franklin Templeton Investments and PIMCO, Gabrielle brings strategic and tactical expertise and her perspective as a long-time Hearsay customer to bear as Hearsay customers’ new content consultant.

Alex Schuster

Vice President of Digital Transformation, Hearsay Systems

Alex Schuster leads Hearsay’s Digital Transformation practice. Alex is responsible for working with Hearsay’s customers to progress their digital transformation journey and enable them to unlock significant value by achieving revenue gains, operational efficiencies and risk mitigation leveraging Hearsay’s products, services and platform.

Prior to Hearsay, Alex was a Senior Manager at EY focused on corporate strategy, digital strategy and digital transformation to financial services clients. He worked extensively with many leading Financial Services clients to define and evaluate their business and customer strategies, and to devise digital and technology strategies to help them modernize and transform into platform-based enterprises.

Alex holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S in Business Administration from New York University, Stern School of Business. He lives in Maplewood, NJ with his wife Alison and son Ethan, and enjoys travel, cooking and spending time with family.

Joe Van Remortel

Vice President of Customer Success

Joe Van Remortel brings 30 years of experience and customer success with a variety of innovative technology companies. By working cross-functionally at Hearsay, his team is responsible for ensuring the success of all Hearsay customers. Previously, he led business-technology integration efforts as an early employee at E*TRADE, then an upstart online broker that disrupted an industry and created a category. Joe also led B2B customer engagement and success with marketing-technology companies such as Organic/Omnicom, Wirestone and Publicis. Most recently, Joe spent 9 years at DocuSign leading the Customer Success/Account Management organization and growing the company from a small saas player to the global leader it is today. He and the team pioneered many new practices including adoption best practices, customer success tracking/reporting, and novel saas deal structures that benefited customers and DocuSign alike.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management. Joe is a sourdough baker, a runner and constantly busy with his wonderful wife and four daughters.

Hannah Bland

Digital Marketing Manager

Hannah has six years of broad experience within digital marketing and is responsible for leading on social media and search for the global marketing team at Aviva Investors.

She is also an active member of the Social Media Council at the Data & Marketing Association (DMA). She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Marketing from London Metropolitan University. Hannah is currently undertaking a Senior Leaders Masters Apprenticeship at the University of East Anglia.

Erika Clyma

Digital Marketing Manager

Erika is a Digital Marketing Manager at Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC where she leads the firm’s advisor social media program. As part of the Client Acquisition, Retention and Field Engagement team, Erika is responsible for developing, executing and scaling the firm’s local social media efforts to approximately 10,000 financial advisors nationwide. She partners cross-functionally to successfully reach Ameriprise’s target market, navigate the ever-changing social media landscape and determine how advisors can promote their services within regulatory constraints. Recently, Erika was also given the responsibility of managing the firm’s advisor texting program.

Since beginning her role in 2018, Erika has grown advisor social media adoption at Ameriprise by nearly 30%. Advisors in her program published over 1 million pieces of content in 2020 alone and maintained a competitive engagement rate throughout the year. Prior to her current role, Erika was part of Ameriprise’s marketing and communications rotational program where she spent 18 months gaining experience in brand reputation, crisis response, corporate social media management and public-facing websites. Erika graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Iowa State University. Since the start of the pandemic, she has been working remotely from her apartment downtown Minneapolis, MN. For a change of scenery, Erika enjoys walks around several of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes, visits to new craft breweries and volunteering at the local Animal Humane Society.

Christine Duque

She has over 20 years’ experience helping marketing organizations find the right balance in the art of science of marketing: balancing between creative expression and strategic branding while leveraging the power of marketing technology, data and analytics.

Christine has a proven track record in delivering award-winning customer experience and marketing initiatives for a diverse global cross-industry client base. Christine has market eminence as a thought leader and is often sought after as a speaker, lecturer and panelist on topics about customer experience, global marketing transformation, marketing technology, financial services digital marketing and women in technology. In the last 5 years, she has served as a keynote speaker and panelist at Future Digital Finance and Money 20/20.

Christine graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance, Music History and Theory from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. She is an accomplished operatic soprano, who has graced world-renowned stages such as Carnegie Hall.

Alex Falls

Alex Falls is responsible for leading Hearsay’s product vision, direction, and development. He has over two decades of experience delivering product vision, strategy, and execution transforming the insurance and financial services industry.

Prior to Hearsay, Falls worked at Guidewire Software for 14 years where he held a number of management roles. Most recently, he spent five years as Vice President of Product Management and was recognized for building and evangelizing Guidewire’s cloud transformation strategy to reinvent non-SaaS products as cloud-native products and solutions.

Falls has also served in management roles at Epiphany and Clarify, leading the early wave of customer relationship management (CRM) software development. He holds a B.S. in political science from Washington University in St. Louis.

Nick Ingham

Nick’s expertise in data and marketing technology has enabled him to focus on bridging the divide between field/agent sales/service teams and marketing to deliver winning customer experiences that drive engagement and results.

Christian Mitchell

Christian Mitchell is executive vice president and chief customer officer at Northwestern Mutual. His executive responsibilities include the company’s planning philosophy and experience, consumer insights and experience strategy, and the development of digital tools and processes to deliver a distinctive client experience throughout a client’s journey.

Christian has served in a variety of leadership positions throughout the company since joining in 2006, including president of Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company, where he managed $129 billion in client assets and led the company to impressive growth in advisory and private client services. He was also vice president of corporate strategy, and spearheaded Northwestern Mutual’s venture capital efforts – including its investment in automated advice firm Betterment and the acquisition of LearnVest.

He also led the firm’s first-ever agile marketing pilot and sponsors on-going innovation and process optimization efforts.

He’s been innovating and making things happen for over twenty years, working as a copywriter, account manager, general manager and marketing director. Before starting to specialize in financial services during the pre-iPhone era, he worked on consumer package goods, gaming, and tech brands for Arc Worldwide, Grey Advertising, and McCann.

Chris Johnson

Assistant Vice President, Advisor Marketing and Communication

Chris Johnson leads Janney’s Private Client Group Marketing team, who work with Janney Financial Advisors and their teams on their customized client communication and client engagement strategies. Chris is also responsible for researching and selecting vendor platforms to streamline marketing and communication efforts for Financial Advisors. He is an advocate for using digital communication tools, and led the transition of the Financial Advisor social media and website platforms to Hearsay.

Chris joined Janney in October of 2013 after 8 years in the Marketing/ Promotions department of CBS Radio Philadelphia, planning events and running promotions for 94WYSP and SportsRadio 94WIP. He graduated from Shippensburg University, with a major in History and minor in Political Science. Chris has participated in and volunteered his time at multiple MS Society events, including the MS City To Shore Bike Tour, MuckFest MS, Walk MS and is a member of the MS Leaders Circle. He took part in Janney’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program and supports the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Delaware County SPCA, Saved Me, The 40 Book Project and Bringing Hope Home.

Chris, his wife, Jessica, young sons, Carter and Miles, and dog, Barkley, reside in Media, PA. He enjoys all things Disney, days at the beach, playing baseball with the kids, and rewatching Hamilton.

Nicohle Schluender

Nicohle Schluender joined Thrivent, the nation’s largest Fraternal Benefit Society, 10 years ago and currently leads the Integrated Marketing team focused on driving demand for the recently relaunched brand. With responsibility for measurement and optimization, enterprise ad compliance review, content marketing and demand generation, she collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including sales, products, innovation and operations to craft and deliver exceptional pre-purchase journey experiences.

Prior to Thrivent, Nicohle provided human-centered adult learning consultation for local governments and the U.S. Military. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota with her husband and two daughters.

Bill Tester

Vice President, Supervision

Bill Tester is a Vice President of Supervision at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis, MN. He is responsible for leading teams which are focused on reviewing a variety of financial advisor communications including social media, text messages, emails, websites and more. He also leads and provides oversight for several functions located in India that deliver administrative support to the firm’s broader Supervision teams.

He has been with Ameriprise for more than 21 years, having also spent time in Marketing, Finance and Service departments. One of his more notable accomplishments includes being part of a leadership team that helped rebrand the company as Ameriprise Financial after its successful spin-off from American Express, which remains as one of the largest spin-offs in U.S. history.

He holds an MBA and BA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.

Stephen Anderson


Steve Anderson has extensive experience in leadership roles within the Financial Services Industry in both insurance companies and independent broker-dealers, with a talent for consistently surpassing company goals and expectations on profitability, customer service, relationship management and building rapport between the field and back office. Steve has experience in combining firms through acquisition and mergers and has operated with different clearing firms and self-clearing platforms. He began his career as an advisor and has extensive experience working with and recruiting advisors. He has been involved in all operations of the broker-dealer, but his passion is in strategic planning, recruiting and insurance sales and operations.

Dennis Craig

Vice President, MGA & National Account Relationships

Dennis entered the insurance business in 1979. Since that time he has held a number of senior management positions with both domestic and foreign insurance companies and has worked with career, brokerage, and direct distribution systems. His experience has included marketing, underwriting/new business, operations, and distribution management.

Dennis joined a subsidiary of RBC Insurance, and has held several senior positions. In his current role with RBC Insurance he is responsible for the MGA, National Account, and Intercorporate relationships in the brokerage channel.

Dennis has participated on a number of industry associations committees including serving on the Board of the Canadian Reinsurance Conference (CRC) and the CLIEDIS (Canadian Life Insurance EDI Standards Association) board for 14 years, including two terms as co-chair.

He has also sat on numerous CLHIA (Canadian Life & Health Insurance Industry Association) sections over the years and is currently the Chair of the CLHIA FTC (Fair Treatment of Customer) Steering Committee. In addition he is a member of the FRSA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario) Advisory Committee, and on the APEXA Strategic Advisory Committee.
